A former Senator, Shehu Sani, has said that no country can fight the Covid-19 pandemic alone as we all have to collectively fight it.
“The @WHO regular press briefings is informing & guiding nations on the necessary steps at the national levels. The US should jettison the thought of cutting its funding in the midst of this, no country alone can fight or protect itself against a pandemic.
“There’s hope; We shall collectively defeat #COVID19”, he stated.
Relatively with the state of things in the country, he stressed that It’s better to Come down, Bend down and Lockdown than to run down, Bow down and go down.
According to many, they praised him for such a weighty statement.
“Regardless about political ideology with present Administration you still hails good policy that will help our growth, this made me remain ur supporter in all ratification”, @Abeskyakasmith.
@Bolaogaraku, “You’ve impressed me. Even as the opposition. Shows you’re being patriotic & supportive. Unlike that biased Segun sowunmi analysing rubbish on @channelstv. The man can never change”.
Senator Shehu further said the test for #COVID19 should be decentralized but the disclosure or announcement should be centralized by the @NCDCgov.
“However, we shall be showered with bogus or exaggerated figures from the states. This is not a national league table”, he noted.
Following his update, he said in view of what we are seeing in the US, Spain, Italy, Iran and the UK, Ending The Lockdown in Nigeria will mean diving into a volcano or charging towards a hurricane, but more resources must be deployed to feed the people in order to control and contain the situation.
“#Covid_19 has created a humanitarian problem in Africa and most of the developing World; the lives of most people can now be equated with that of IDPs, Refugees or Inmates in the Correctional homes. #COVID2019ghana #CoronavirusOutbreak #CoronavirusPandemic @Refugees @UNDPNigeria”, he rested.
