The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), has been requested by Mompha to pay huge sum of money of N5million over his recent re-arrest.
Daily News Nigeria reported earlier that after his arrest last year October and released, the EFCC seized some of his properties, such as Air pod, iPhones, wristwatches and others.
However, the Judge in-charge of the case, Justice Mohammed Liman, ordered the EFCC to give back Mompha his items as they are not part of the crime case.
Following the re-arrest, it was obtained that recently, Mompha went to EFCC office to get back his items as he was about leaving the premises, he got arrested again.
In the statement released by Dele Oyewale, EFCC Spokesperson, he disclosed that the re-arrest was not regarding the former crime but new case relating to Internet fraud.
Sources thereby told Daily News Nigeria that the re-arrest case has been taken to court as Mompha told court to tell EFCC to pay the N5million.
However, the Court is yet to fix date for the erring case.
