A three-year-old boy identified as David Ajao has allegedly been abducted by unknown persons.

The boy was reportedly abducted while he was playing with other children in front of his dad’s shop on Dabara Street, Apongbon, Lagos.

It was gathered that the toddler – a nursery one pupil of St. Joseph Nursery and Primary School – was abducted on Saturday, November 14, 2021.

The victim’s mother, Airat Ajao, it was learnt, left David and his older sister Daniella at their dad’s shop before leaving for her own shop.

His father, Mr Gbade Ajao, said he noticed the boy had gone missing at about 6:30pm when his sister came to ask for him.

He said: “He just finished eating a biscuit when he said he wanted to go and play and I let him. I saw him playing right in front of the shop with some other kids on the street before I slept off in the shop.

“I was still sleeping when his sister Daniella, who had just got back with their eldest sister from where they went to get fuel, woke me up and asked me about the whereabouts of her brother.

“I told her to go and check for him where the other kids were playing but she came back saying she couldn’t find him and that was when I went to check myself and I didn’t find him up till this moment.

“I called on the people in the neighbourhood and they all joined in the search but this has yielded no positive response; we found no traces of him at all”.

He called on Lagosians and the police to help bring back his son.

The Nation learnt that the case was reported at both Ebute Ero and Adeniji Police stations on Saturday night and later at Lion Building, on Sunday morning.
