The Police in Lagos State have confirmed the death of four persons in the Badagry building collapse.

On Wednesday, a storey building under construction at Flour Mill Estate in Magbon caved in.

The tragedy followed the Ikoyi building collapse where 45 died and more than a dozen injured.

Similar to the Ikoyi case, most of the victims in Badagry were construction workers.

A terse statement Wednesday night by police spokesman, Adekunle Ajisebutu, said six persons have been rescued alive.

They are receiving medical care at the Badagry General Hospital.

“Four bodies recovered and deposited at the Badagry General Hospital morgue for autopsy”, Ajisebutu announced.

The police, emergency services and responders are continuing search and rescue (SAR) operation at the scene.
