The popular Nigerian Singer, President of Marlians, Naira Marley, has said that Police is his friend, noted that he will pay the fine against him.
Naira Marley born Azeez Fashola was arrested days back with the reason that he violated the rules in place to curb the spread of COVID-19 complications during nationwide lockdown as he flew his private jet to Abuja for a concert with some former housemates of Big Brother Naija.
Daily News Nigeria gathered that he was arrested and was arraigned to court as he has been charged to pay fine of N200,000.
Following the court case, it was reported that Naira Marley pleaded guilty, meanwhile, the presiding Magistrate Idayat Akanni, requested him to publish apology message on any national newspaper.
Thereafter, Naira Marley posted on his Twitter page as he made known his mood of K1 Ultimate, a Nigerian Fuji Singer, praising himself in one of his live concerts.
Followed thousands of reactions from Nigerians, many accused Federal government for focusing on minor crimes when major issues troubling the country have been abandoned.
Relatively, some pointed to some politicians who reported to have violated the lockdown rules and also referred to the ongoing elections in some stated. Nevertheless, some commended the Federal government for the steps taken.
