The President, Mohammadu Buhari, has broken the news of the lockdown extension for another two weeks, has Nigerians have ranted over the extension as many cried out of hunger and boredom.
Unfortunately, the initial 14 days lockdown close to end has been extended for another two weeks.
Buhari broke the news tonight at 7 pm as he disclosed that the extension is as the result of increasing cases of the Corona Virus.
However, Nigerians have ranted over the extension as many cried out of hunger and boredom.
Following the update, the Spokesperson of People Democratic Progress (PDP) PPC, Segun Showumi, said on Channels TV tonight that the security is not palatable as many Nigerians have posted videos on the Internet of how they couldn’t sleep overnight due to the robbery.
“The presidency must measure up the equals”, he added.
Niyi Akinsiju, the Chairman of Buhari Media Organisation also lamented on Channels TV that Presidency message is presidency message as nothing will change.
“We can’t start to compare what we have now to what we used to have before, however, the expenditure will be audited, no dispute”,
“Those who on wages might not be necessary be poor, however, the government is partnering with Lagos and other States for fund and food provision as the citizens have to locate their Local Government for collection”, he submitted.
Mr Showumi further said that It would have been okay if Nigeria is not living with another country like Ghana and co.
After all said, Nigerians have taken to their social media platform pages to lament that the next 14 days extension will bring out the real evil of citizens as many are on hunger strike.
However, many pleaded for food provision to sustain during this period.
