In tickle of an eye, some Southwest, Nigerian Police has recently disclosed that there is no additional cell to retain more terrorists disturbing the residents of Ogun, Lagos and Oyo States in this era of total lockdown.
“We can’t come to pick thieves, a cell is full”, Police allegedly tell residents.
The Police in the three states has been accused of allegedly refusing to show up after they were called by the residents when thieves were caught and witnessed in the communities.
According to the social media report, a boy appeared to miss his way in an estate in Ifo, Ogun State after numerous robbers have been terrorizing since last week.
Following the interrogation, he initially claimed he was looking for his lost money, but later confessed to being in the area to rob the residents.
According to sources, he was beaten by the residents, after they handed him over to the Police.
However, the officers on duty told the residents their cell was full and they couldn’t take in more terrorists.
Speaking to some witnesses on how and what happened, many shared their experience.
“Caught one in our Estate this evening and the other one escaped….Fact is told; we called the Police and they said cell is Full. This is disheartening, we’re not safe”.
“Firstly, it started as a cult fight here in Ifo before the whole thing escalated to stealing, raping and killings, since then we’ve been on Guard in my area since last Tuesday 12 am – 4 am every day”.
“We’d burn at least 3 tyres every night that we already ran out of something to burn, yesterday after resting in the afternoon I decided to take a stroll in my estate for no particular reason, then I noticed a strange face in the vicinity, very dirty and wet like he had fallen into water or probably escaped from somewhere, I moved closer to him and ask who he was and why he was here…
he paid little to no attention to me at first hoping I’ll think he lives in the estate When he got that I wasn’t buying the drama he said he was looking for five hundred nairas and that he was from Seriki(another village in Ifo, Ogun State) and that he left home to buy body cream and somehow landed in our area to play Bet9ja”,
Due to state of reports and experienced shared, Ogun and other states have hereby called upon the Nigerian Government to come to their rescue as they can’t sleep and live in peace.
