The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has sacked her current Vice-chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe.
Sources told Daily News Nigeria that the decision was made in a meeting held recently by the institution body at the National Universities Commission (NUC), Abuja.
Following the reports, it was obtained that about seven members voted in support of the removal, while four voted against, however, someone voted for suspension.
Nevertheless, reason for the removal was due to abuse of the office, gross misconduct, acts of wrongdoing and financial recklessness.
