JUST IN: UNILAG appoints new acting Vice-Chancellor

The University of Lagos(UNILAG) has appointed new acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Theophilus Soyombo.

The Registrar of the institution, Oladejo Azeez, made the announcement to public this morning after the removal of Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe.

Recall that Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe was voted out and sacked yesterday at the conference meeting held at National Universities Commission (NCC), Abuja.

Following the latest news of the new appointed VC, Professor Soyombo, it was said that the quick appointment was done in a meeting held early hour of today, Thursday.

Reasons behind Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe’s removal was due to recklessness of finance, abuse of office and among others.
