On a new note, Ekiti State government, on Thursday, released the latest development in reduction of Right Way charges, Broadband, from 4500 naira to 145 naira per meter.
Jubilation everywhere as the price has been reduced drastically.

According to reports gathered, the State governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, broke the news that it is the policy of the state government to create enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
“The government of Ekiti State is desirous to provide all citizens in the state, especially the rural areas to have access to reliable and affordable broadband connectivity”.
“The broadband connectivity will increase and boost the state economy in all sectors, include, new businesses, job growth, high-quality healthcare, enrich the students learning with digital tools and among others”.
“In order to achieve the projects and with the power of 1999 Constitution vested in me, I hereby reduce the Right Way charges to 145 naira from 4500 naira”, he submitted.
He further stressed that Ekiti is the first state in Nigeria to comply with the NEC approved Right of Way charges for broadband and also becoming the cheapest state for broadband infrastructure investment as 1km of cable will now cost just N145,000 as against N4.5m previously.
Following the jubilation of the state indigence and residents, many praised the governor for the drastic price reduction of the Broadband connectivity as many represent and make proud of their state.
While some said that Feyemi is interfering in matters that don’t concern him, whereas Ekiti people are suffering, for almost a decade without electricity in Ekiti State University(EKSU) and this is one of the things generating revenue in the Ekiti State, later when they want to run they would come to the student.
