The Anambra-born acclaimed billionaire, Prince Arthur Eze, has been accused of interfering with the politics in Imo State. This was confirmed by a whistleblower who revealed that the oil mogul before embarking on his journey last week to Abuja with his 12 traditional rulers to meet with President Mohammadu Buhari visited Imo State Goverment House where he spent over two hours on a closed door meeting with the Governor Hope Uzodinma.

The information reveals that the Governor in return raised a huge sum of money in US Dollars for the acclaimed billionaire. While the reason for the money was not completely ascertained, there are indications that the Governor empowered the Billionaire to lobby for him in Abuja, in connection with his recent issues before the Supreme Court.

Recall that a Senior Advocate of Nigeria had approached the apex court, urging them to enforce their judgement which declared Uche Nwosu the Candidate of the APC for the 2019 Imo State governorship election. This particular issue as it was learnt has kept the entire Government structure in the State on a standstill.

What concerned Imolites are asking is the rationale behind Arthur Eze’s intenvention even in the face of continuous suffering by Imo pensioners, civil servants and the generality of Imolites who have been passing through hell since the emergence of Hope Uzodinma on the 14th of January, 2020.

If Arthur Eze is truly the Ozo Igbo Ndu, one expects that he should stand with the old men and women who have continually protested the non payment of their pensions for the past five months under the leadership of Hope Uzodinma. Why should a man whose name translates to “The Saviour of Ndigbo” be a partaker in the ongoing agenda to humiliate and harass the aged, gag critics, imprison lawful protesters and arbitrarily dismiss workers which Hope Uzodinma has been known for?

Is Arthur Eze aware that in the past seven months of Hope Uzodinma, no week passes without any Government agency protesting either non payment of salaries, unnecessary deductions or unlawful downsizing of their staff strength?

It is on record that Arthur Eze is having a running battle with the Governor of his state, Willie Obiano, over lack of service delivery and political malfeasance. Why then is Arthur Eze wishing Imo people the very same things he has rejected in Anambra State?
