Funke, Amen

By Deborah Mustapha

Shockingly, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)  of Amen Estate, Lekki,  Lagos State, Nigeria, Babatunde Gbadamosi, has been arrested by the Lagos State government after the apology for attending Funke Akindele’s house party organized days ago.
To recall earlier that Babatunde Gbadamosi posted a video apologizing for attending the house party as it wasn’t what expected that he met.

He said, ” I  apologize for the event that happened at the Bello’s resident over the weekend at Amen Estate. We went to greet the family with the belief that we were going to meet the family and their staff in the house but after an hour of our visitation, a celebrity arrived with a number of people with him. Perhaps, we should have left, however, I consider that as lapse judgement on my side and I apologize, but that should not say that I detract in any way of the social distancing policies that have been put in place by the health authorities around the world, I subscribed fully to it and please continue to observe social distancing as a means from preventing the Corona Virus from spreading in Nigeria. However, do note that every attendee at the party is resident of Gbadamosi close, not just Amen Estate. Once again, I sincerely apologize for what happened.

Thank you so much for the patient and care. We are all safe and we will continue to be safe. Amen”.

Following the updates of the Bello’s family house party consequences of N100,000 fine, 14days community service plus isolation, Funke Akindele and husband have been ordered to provide the party attendees in less than 24hours.
In tickle of an eye after the court final judgment, one of the attendees, popularly called Naira Marley, willingly surrendered himself to the police as he has witness, such trial last year, however, many said it’s not new for him to face the judge or visit the court. Nevertheless, he’s fine is yet to be announced.
However, the Lagos State government had reacted due to the rules violation as the sole aim of the quarantine is to curtail the spread of the infectious virus named Covid-19.
@JUDEDEJUST tweeted, “Dear Nigerians, please let’s not bash Funke Akindele 2 much, She is simply a reflection of what leadership means in our Society: “DO WHAT I SAY NOT WHAT I DO”. For every time you tell people to do something, while you do the contrary, my Dear: YOUR NAME IS FUNKE! #funkeakindelebell.
