The governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, had pleaded the All Progressive Congress (APC) party leader, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, to forgive him if he has offended him.
Following the updates on Edo State election, the battle between Obaseki and Adams Oshiomhole, APC party National Chairman, is getting hotter after the announcement of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu as the new candidate to run together with Obaseki for the party Primary election on June 22nd.

According to sources, it was said that Tinubu refused to accept the governors’ idea to give Obaseki direct ticket, however, Tinubu clarified and assured that there will be a free and fair primary election.
Meanwhile, Obaseki had broke silence that it doesn’t matter if it is a direct or indirect primary election, he thereby gave certainty that he will win because he has done a lot in the state.
However, Tinubu said according to sources that he is not from Edo neither from Ondo but he guaranteed that the people of Edo State will choose their governor.
