Saul Niguez has revealed that Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, promised he will play in his preferred midfield role if he joins the club.
The 26-year-old arrived on a one-year loan deal from Atletico Madrid on transfer deadline day.
During his time under Diego Simeone, Saul was deployed in various positions across the pitch.
The Spaniard has been used as a No.10, wing-back and almost everywhere in between.

Speaking on Twitch, Saul said: Chelsea has promised me to train in my position [midfield], but to play we will see. To return to certain roles that I do not play in now – that is the most important reason for my decision.
“This transfer is a step out of my comfort zone for me. I believe that you will see a new Saul in a new [better] place.”
