Chelsea have received a transfer boost in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, with the German club agreeing personal terms with his potential replacement.
Haaland, 20, has been heavily linked to the Stamford Bridge club this summer, and the latest developments showcase encouraging signs for the Blues in their pursuit of the Norwegian star.
This is because according to German outlet Sport Bild, the Black and Yellows have reached an agreement with Dutch forward Donyell Malen on personal terms which include contract length and salaries.
Dutch forward Malen is coming off the back of a very strong season with Eredivisie side PSV, having scored 27 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions.
The 22-year-old also had a strong Euro 2020 tournament with Frank De Boer’s Netherlands side, assisting two goals in their run to the round of 16, where they were eventually knocked out by Czech Republic.
All that is needed for this deal to be finalised is for the two clubs to agree on a fee.
