The former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has urged the Federal Government to plead the Network operators to reduce tariffs to support Nigerians in Data usage.
“Nigerians have been at home since the beginning of this Covid-19 pandemic, even now that the lockdown is relaxed, causing an increase in Data usage, however, Govt will be kind enough to prevail on Network and Cable TV Providers to reduce their tariffs to support Nigerians at this time”, he said.
As it is no longer news that lockdown was recently lifted to boost the country’s economy and for citizens to feed, irrespective of the palliative given by Federal, State and Local government.
Ever since lockdown has been eased, the confirmed cases never reduce but increased drastically, however, the government has revealed drug to fight against the virus as proper measures to curb the spread, frequent wash of hands, nose mask always, application of hand sanitizer and keep social distancing have been advised.
Following Fayose’s statement, which he made recently on his Twitter page pleading on behalf of Nigerians that the Network operators should be kind in this era to support in low data usage and active 24/7 network nationwide for most especially those who work from home.
According to reactions and obviously with the statement, many Nigerians praised Fayose for being the mouthpiece and speaking the truth the masses want to hear.
On the other hand, many requested for palliative from Fayose as Network matter is minor.
