The Oyo State governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has recently disclosed that the seven confirmed Corona Virus cases has dropped to five in the state.
He disclosed this on his Twitter page to update the people of Oyo state and the country, Nigeria, for evidence that the state government is trying her best to curtail the virus from spreading.
“One confirmed COVID-19 patient was discharged after receiving their second negative test result. This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to six. Another confirmed case requested a transfer to Lagos. So, there are currently four active cases in the state”, he said.
As we know that Covid-19, popularly called Corona Virus is an infectious disease that is mainly spread between people during close contact, often via small droplets produced during coughing, sneezing, or talking. While these droplets are produced when breathing out, they usually fall to the ground or surfaces rather than being infectious over large distances.
People may also become infected by touching a contaminated surface and then their face. The virus can survive on surfaces for up to 72 hours. Coronavirus is most contagious during the first three days after onset of symptoms, although spread may be possible before symptoms appear and in later stages of the disease.
To recall that the governor, His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde, recently recovered from this Covid-19 within seven days as he disclosed that honey, black seed oil and among others helped his recovery.
However, after the breaking news of the cases that dropped to five after three have recovered and one transferred to Lagos State today, many reacted as they hope and pray for zero cases in the state and the country for activities, schools and businesses return back to normal.
