Not fewer than 18 Boko Haram terrorists have been killed by the Nigerian Army in the North-East part of Nigeria, during the past weeks of insurgency operation.
Following the operation, Boko Haram gang leader, Abubakar Shekau, has hereby broken silence as he burst into tears, plead the Nigerian Army and asked Allah for mercy.
On a good note, the Army was able to rescue 72 people from their cabinet during operation.
Sources told Daily News Nigeria that the Army from the 7 division at Operation Lafia Dole discovered a lot of arms and ammunition from the terrorists.
According to the Nigerian Army Spokesperson, Colonel Sagir Musa, he said the army engaged the terrorists in a heavy firefight which forced them to abandon many of the arms and ammunition stolen and fled in disarray with severe gunshot wounds as 18 died.
However, Shekau recently released audio in Kanuri language begging the Nigeria Army as he claimed that their operation was devilish.
“May Allah protects us from the devilish and wicked attack of the Nigerian Military. We pray to you Allah to keep us as we are poor who know nothing and abandoned our families and friends to practice your true religion”, he voiced out pitifully.
In his audio, he noted that his pleading does not signify that the Boko Haram is surrendering and seeking negotiation from anyone.
However, Nigerians said that troops shouldn’t relent, until they wipe out Boko Haram from the North as Shekau might be playing mind games with them.
“They shouldn’t lose focus, please. God Bless the Nigerian Army”, the tweet stated.
