In remembrance of Civil war after five decades, The Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has said that friendship can be forged across Ethnic and Religion than family line.
“Our children are showing us that it is possible to forge friendship and bonds across the ethnic and religious line that are even stronger than family ties and this is itself evokes the possibilities of UNITY in Diversity”, he said.

Speaking to elders about the fourth coming generation, Osinbajo thereby advised the elders who witnessed the country’s Civil war to not poison the mind of the young.
“In remembrance of Civil war, the last 50 years belongs to us and the next 50 years is for our children, let’s not poison their mind”, he advised.
Following Osinbajo’s statement, he said Biafra in Nigeria, should be used as a strength to build stronger Nigeria.
“For those of us that are old enough to remember the war, we must be mindful of the fact that the majority of Nigerians alive today are too young to witness the Civil war”, Osinbajo stated.
Added that the elders are responsible to unshackle them from the ghost of ancients grudges and grievances.
“The memories of our elders are enough to learn a lot of lessons, however, we should not utter the future of the coming generations”, he rested.
In regard to comments, Nigerians commended Professor Yemi Osinbajo over his speech as its a worthy speech that the present generation needs to know, considering the war between Nigeria and Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
