The oldest country Boxer, Bash Ali, proposed to the government to sponsor his fight to rank the world boxer champion title, but unfortunately, the Federal government rejected with reasons.
The Federal government through the Ministry of Youths and Sports Development issued the rejected letter to Bash Ali’s lawyers, B.O. Nafagha & Co., with the say that Bash Ali should withdraw from pressuring the Ministry of Youths and Sports Development for sponsorship as its not their responsibility.

The 64 years old man issued the sponsorship letter with the readiness to win the World title and enter the Guinness book of record as the oldest champion in Boxing industry.
Federal government hereby made it clear that the bout proposal is under the control of Nigerian Boxing Board of Control (NBBC) and not Ministry of Youths and Sports Development.
In the report obtained by Daily News Nigeria, the rejected letter to Bash Ali through his lawyers stated below;
“The Ministry under the directive of Mr President in a letter, dated 10th March 2020 made it clear that it is not the proper platform for your client to realize his pet project.
“And as a final note, I am directed to advise your client to restrain from engaging in any act capable of creating a difficult atmosphere for the Ministry and its staff to carry out their functions.”, the Ministry clarified.
Following reactions, many supposed it’s not a bad action to sponsor the fight as it for record-breaking and will be plus to the image of the country.
Contrary to the opinion, some broke the silence that it is very bad to support boxing fight over 7years as we never can tell his durability because he’s old.
However, many proposed that the federal government should support better records like inventing the first spacecraft in Africa.
While others advised Bash Ali to go for chieftaincy title and among others.
Bash Ali was born Bashiru Ali on February 27th, 1956 in Lagos, Nigeria. He’s a professional Boxer with recognition.
Bash started his Boxing career at California, the USA in the 1970s, report gathered that his first fight was for money, in which he won and took it up to be professional, however, he never fought as an amateur.
