The former aviation minister and one-time senior special adviser to President Olusegun Obasanjo on political matters, Chief Femi Fani- Kayode has condemned in totality the comments credited to Maryam Uwais when she appeared on channels TV, Maryam Uwais had said on channels tv flagship programmes, sunrise daily, that the federal government does not have to account for the 700 billion money meant to for palliative on covid-19.
In a swift reaction, Chief Fani-Kayode describes the Comments as arrogant.

He said in a tweet, “Maryam Uwais’ comments on channels tv were insensitive, arrogant and shameful. I have never seen such a brazen and glaring example of gobblygook and doublespeak. She tried to defend the indefensible. I expect no less from a primitive, slavish, clueless and uninformed Buharideen!”
“They do not come from Nigeria but from Chad, Niger, Mali or Guinea. Our values, orientation, culture, principles and sense of decency are worlds apart from theirs and the truth is that no matter how hard we try we can never see eye to eye or live together in peace with them.
“Maryam Uwais says the FG does not have to account for 700 billion? Nothing proves that Nigeria is not a nation but rather many nations bound together in an artificial and unworkable union than her. She and those she represents do not belong in the same country as the rest of us.” He concluded.
Maryam Uwais comments had drawn many reactions including from the National Assembly where she had a spat with the senate leadership.
