The Lead Pastor of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, has again slammed Mr President, Mohammed Buhari, and Company Allied Matters Act (CAMA) Law over shutting of churches accounts and appoint Board of Trustees.
Bishop David Oyedepo broke silence during his preaching on Sunday over the new CAMA policy.
In his statement, he said, “Church is not club neither should be mistaken to be company for Minister to remove board of trustees or shut down church accounts.
“To appoint Board of Trustees, you will appoint Occultist to oversee church affairs? When the sons of Prophet are still alive?
“Do you know why? The church is the only God’s heritage on earth.
Added further as he warned Federal government to not try what they are planning for churches to close down churches accounts.
Following thousands of reactions on social media, some said that Nigerian Government is against the Church and Bishop Oyedepo is one of the few with the Status to speak up.
“Just look at the corruption in government parastatals and some Christians are in support of this policy. Christians are a major problem of Christianity”, comments read
Contrary, some stated that Pastor Oyedepo won’t talk when government is making law/taxes to suppress the citizens or businesses, but shout when govt is making law about Churches.
“If you can’t talk to the govt about your members’ businesses, then don’t talk when they want to regulate yours @#oyedepo”, tweets read.
